Theodor Seuss Geisel or Dr. Seuss was born on March 2, 1904 in Springfield, Massachusetts, USA. His birthday has been adopted as the annual date for National Red Across America Day, an initiative on reading created by the National Education Association.
Pre-K 3 students collaborated with Kindergarten and Grade 1 students put together a slideshow and a reader's theater performance shared at Monday assembly, on March 2, 2015.
Using ChatterPix app, students in both classes took pictures of some Dr. Seuss famous book characters, picked those characters' famous lines then recorded their voice saying those characters' lines.
For Dr. Seuss' Birthday reader's theater, kindergarten and grade 1 students took role as the readers and PRe-K 3 students bravely walked across the undercover area to show the audiences pictures of Dr. Seuss' book covers.
Those 8 silly cats in the hats were rocking Pre-K 3 class last Monday. They were so engaged in doing all Dr. Seuss related activities.
