Yikes! Seven weeks away from the end of school which means some school events are lining up, ready to be checked out from the school agenda. Thanks God, the kids know our class routines which make it easier and faster to do class activities. This week we discussed about animals living in the ocean as well as did some earth day celebration. Have I told you how much do the kids love the animals? Yes, I have. But I just can't help myself not to mention it again since they really really love discussing anything related to the animals.
We made super simple earth day snack last Wednesday. The ingredients we needed were just some oreos and gummy worms. The kids most favorite step in preparing this snack was smashing all the oreos to make them look like dirts.
'Then Sant Jorgi won the fighting against the terrible dragon...' Yay! The legend of Sant Jorgi or Saint George happy ending made the kids happy. Based on this legend, on April 23, people in Barcelona and the other Catalonia cities, celebrate Dia del Libro or book day. On that day, men will give the women roses and the women will give the men books in returns. Thank you Paz family for sharing this wonderful celebration.
'Commotion in the Ocean' story became the inspiration of this delicious lunch. With simple ingredients that we can easily find in most of households' refrigerators, we prepared our oceania pasta. Most of the kids, especially the boys, went home with full tummy of pasta.
The kids had great time attending PRIS Science and Robotic Exhibition. They listened attentively to the young scientists' explanations. All the Lego robots on display have also become their main interest. It was too bad they couldn't watch how the middle school students managed to make all those robots moving.
