Oh, No!

The kids had fantastic engaging sessions with both Eric Rohmann who the first mistaken by knowing him as Eric Carle and Candace Fleming who is preferred to be called as Candy. Eric taught the kids a lot on how to draw animals then just by adding little details to the animals' facial expressions, we can totally write a story about those animals. Eric also read the kids one of his book that won the Caldecott Medal, My Friend Rabbit. Candy on the other side told the kids that two first main tools that we need to write stories are our eyes and ears. She showed the kids some of her holiday pictures in the jungle. She went on holiday with Eric and the rest of their family to the Malaysian side of Borneo jungle where they met some interesting animals. All those animals have inspired Eric and Candy to work together as illustrator and writer to create a book titled Oh, No! which was read by Candy herself at our session with both of them this morning. It was great meeting Eric the silly white haired man and Candy who is as sweet as her nick name. They are totally inspiring.
